Prom Night

By cool_ambo

Always have I given the excuse that I was drunk when caught with my pants down, and that I never knew what I was doing.

But I’ve always maintained for myself that I was fully aware of what I did, after I did it, particularly on this night, which was Rachel’s prom night.

Next year was to be my prom. This year was hers. This gave me the more reason to accept the invitation to escort her for the prom night.

The punch that was laid out this year was a bit too strong for me, although I must admit that I could not compare it to another punch mixed on another year since this was my first time to go to a prom. I have seen the chaps replace each cup drained from the bowl with another swig of pure Gilbeys gin. The punch got more intoxicating every time. Consequently, Rachel had to drive us home in her dad’s car as I wasn’t that much good to drive.

And there I was, staring at her eyes, her body pinning me to the front of the fridge, with that shrill voice over the radio blaring down over our heads……..

There’s a line between love and fascination

That’s hard to see on an evening such as this,

For they both give the very same sensation,

When you’re lost in the magic of a kiss,

Your lips are much too close to mine,

…..this wasn’t helping the situation any. So I reached over my head and turned the radio off, only to find her arms deliberately tightening around my waist, and her auburn hair sticking a few curls through my nostrils.

“Suave!,” I said, “Mom uses this on her hair, too, and I never got used to the oily scent.”

She looked up to me again, and that’s when I felt a needle sticking through my shirt. So I reached around and with some deft maneuvering through the cramped spaces on my chest, proceeded to unpin the exotic blossom which I put on her strapless several hours earlier. Removing this flower was the general purpose we were in that position anyway. I was supposed to stick the flower inside the fridge when these new developments came about.

I fumbled with the gown and flower. All the while she had her eyes fixed on me, diligently reading what I had in mind at that moment. I really didn’t want to tell her exactly what I had in mind but she cornered me in front of the fridge so I did not really have to say it. I could say, though, that this situation for me is what you may call getting lucky!

I took my time unpinning the corsage, a move which she saw through my ploy. She asked in the most straightforward manner she could under such a circumstance, “Aren’t you putting more hands than necessary on that flower?” From the seriousness of the stare she gave me, I realized that the question she asked posed more of a dare than a don’t, or whatever. I tried to read between the lines but there were no more lines to read. Besides, I realized then and there the reason why women prefer men who wear neckties……so that they can pull the man’s head down to theirs.

And as she pulled me down by my tie, I pulled her up by the chin. We ended up under the table. There was so much dinner mess on top the table that we ended up under the table. The floor must have been cold. She didn’t complain. So I never asked.

In the subsequent months that completed the summer of that year, I learned that this sort of thing could be done under trees, in park benches, in back seats, in passenger seats, in driver’s seats, in trunks, in garages, and in any number of places fit for clandestine making-dos. Never have I heard anybody mention doing it under the table in front of a fridge. Yes sir, she taught me all I know, my cousin Rachel, and she has seen to it that I remember every lesson well.

Who Killed Bin Laden?

Former CIA Agent Claims Americans Did Not Kill bin Laden

19.05.2011 02:04

Osama bin Laden died a natural death nearly 5 years before it was announced that he was eliminated by the American commandos. This sensational statement was made by a Turkish politician, and a former U.S.intelligence agent. In an interview withRussia’s Channel One, he said that the Americans simply found and opened the tomb of the leader of al-Qaeda.

The journalists of Channel One first met this man in 2008. At the time he was featured in the documentary “Plan Caucasus,” talking about the attempts of the western intelligence services in the early 1990’s to separate the Northern Caucasus and, in particular, Chechnya from Russia. Chechen by nationality, Berkan Yashar is now a Turkish politician, but in those years he was one of the ideologists of Johar Dudayev. He asked for a meeting, promising to tell the truth about the death of Osama bin Laden whom he met in the early 90-ies inChechnya.

“In September of 1992 I was inChechnya, that’s when I first met the man whose name was Bin Laden. This meeting took place in a two-story house in the city of Grozny; on the top floor was a family of Gamsakhurdia, the Georgian president, who then was kicked out of his country. We met on the bottom floor; Osama lived in the same building, “said Berkan Yashar. Berkan said he did not know why bin Laden visited while in Grozny, and said only one thing about his meetings: “Just wanted to talk.”

However, according to Channel One, in those years the former employee of Radio Liberty Berkan Yashar already had an operational name Abubakar, given to him by the CIA. According to Berkan, after that trip Chechen nationals appeared in Osama bin Laden’s circle. Berkan Yashar emphasized that they did not participate “directly in the terror bombings.” “They protected bin Laden, it was his choice because he trusted them entirely, and knew that they would never betray,” said Yashar. According to Yashar he was not the only one who knew about it, but the Russian security services and the CIA were aware of this as well.

Answering the question whether he believed that the Americans killed Osama bin Laden inPakistan, Berkan Yashar answered: “Even if the entire world believed I could not possibly believe it.” “I personally know the Chechens who protected him, they are Sami, Mahmood, and Ayub, and they were with him until the very end. I remember that day very well, there were three sixes in it: 26 June 2006. These people, as well as two others from London and two Americans, all seven of them, saw him dead. He was very ill, he was skin and bones, very thin, and they washed him and buried him,” said Berkan Yashar.

Yashar stressed that although the two American Muslims and two British Muslims the guards of bin Laden and saw him dead, they did not participate in the funerals. “Only three Chechens buried him, according to his will,” said Yashar. Bin Laden was buried, according to Yashar, in the mountains on the Pakistan-Afghan border. “There was no assault,” said Yashar. “I know the American operations from the inside: they find the grave, dig out bin Laden and tell everyone about this. They need to show how technologically the security services worked, how each step was controlled, and then present it as a great victory to show that taxpayers are not paying taxes for nothing. ”

Berkan now blames himself for the fact that the Chechens from the protection of bin Laden, “the terrorist number one” are no longer alive after the U.S.intelligence services began to tap Berkan’s telephone conversations. He said he was the first one who announced the date of death of bin Laden. “I was the first one who announced the date of his death in November of 2008 at a conference inWashington, not naming any names, and it looks like it was when the Americans began to track my contacts,” he said.

The last security guard Berkan saw Sami, who, according to him, a few days before bin Laden was declared killed, was kidnapped by the U.S.intelligence agencies. According to Berkan, most likely, it was him who disclosed to them the exact place of burial in the mountains on the Pakistan-Afghan border.
In any case, the last call from Sami was fromPakistan. Berkan explained why he informed the journalists of Channel One: he feared for his life. According to him, only wide publicity around the world can protect him from the CIA. However, just in case, the Turkish secret services, according to him, provided him with guards and weapons.

Easter Traditions

Easter traditions and common values

28.03.2013 20:58

As Easter approaches, let us take a look at the symbolism behind the traditions as we celebrate and let us see how painting eggs, eating chocolate rabbits and going on an egg-hunt around the garden are proof of eternal and common supra-Continental human values which transcend time and space.

Easter eggs, chocolate bunnies, the ubiquitous children’s dream at Easter time… from the end of the nineteenth century, brought to theUKand theUSAby German immigrants. And indeed the Goddess of Fertility and Spring – Eastre, makes her presence on the world stage, springing from pre-Christian Pagan fertility festivities, depicted in rock engravings holding a rabbit (fertility) and an egg (eternity, no beginning and no end).

It is a time of Resurrection, the restarting of the cycle of agriculture, of life, a time of sowing, a time of planting and a time of celebration that the Winter Spirit of death (symbolic death of the agricultural cycle) has departed. The Fertility Festival is the antithesis of the first Festival of Light, Hallowe’en, the end of the agricultural cycle and the coming of darkness.

And for those Europeans who say that Hallowe’en is a “stupid American festival” here is the rub. To be an American Festival, it either had to be born the other side of theAtlanticor else was taken there by Europeans, who since dropped the customs and had them re-introduced centuries later. In fact, Hallowe’en comes from “evening” before the Saints (who wear halos round their heads) and was the mark by which time the agricultural chores had to be finished. It was a tremendously important festival in Medieval Europe.

The symbolic burning of scarecrows abounds in different parts of Europe either at Hallowe’en (the “Guy” in theUK), during the Festivals of Light throughout Winter (Saint Martin’s Day in November, not to mention Christmas and New Year and Epiphany) or at Easter.

So these are not German festivities or American festivals, they are Universal rites based around common human values – respect for life, the celebration of resurrection, the eternal cycle of new hopes for a tomorrow bathed in light… however dark the nights may be. This eternal quest to protect and worship life has been present since humankind began communicating through engravings – placing a funeral stone on the breast of the deceased with zigzag lines representing waves or the feathers of the night-Goddess, the Owl (brought by the Moon), also representing waves. Waves are water, water is life.

As we celebrate another Easter, let us tell our (grand)children about the symbolism behind the egg and the rabbit and instill in them the knowledge that other children the world over are celebrating the Resurrection of Life together, whether this be the life of Christ or the rebirth of the agricultural year. The details matter less than the benchmark.

While Humankind should be celebrating Life together, it practises hatred, division, contempt and a primary instinctive drive to mark territory by destroying others. Our world is not at one with Nature, we are destroying it. We celebrate the rebirth of Life, but we kill our environment. We celebrate the Resurrection but we bomb children inLibyaand provide weapons to terrorists inSyria. How sick is that?

NATO, the arms lobby’s private club and its member states are the main culprits in creating what the world has become: If you are big, you kick as*, if you are small, you get you’re a*s kicked.

At the beginning of the Third Millennium (Christian Era), what a sad and sorry comment on how little we have learnt. What a telling statement on how primary we remain. And there, ladies and gentlemen, we have the explanation for all our ills. Humankind is an animal, its sophistication lies just beneath a very thin surface and the laws of the jungle apply more to us than to many animal communities.

I wonder whether Mother Earth is pondering something. I give her my full support if she is.

Smouldering Korean

President Kim Jong Un of North Korea keeps rattling the sabre. It is not a certainty regarding how much more time he will consume smouldering after the American-induced  ncreased UN sanctions against the country.

It will probably help President Kim Jong Un to simmer down if the media do not publish each and every taunt that the President makes. This eggs him on, this media coverage.

Again, steer clear of the Yalu River. This is a trip wire..

The New American Revolution

The new American Revolution is basically a fight regarding different interpretations of the American Constitution. This would never have been had the Constitution been reviewed at regular intervals.

Considering also the debate on gun control, the limits of freedom is being explored and the citizens are straddling the fence that will decide  between what is permissible and what is abusive.

The term “firearms” should have been categorized and sorted out into types of firearms. The term “rights’ should have been specified as to which people are under its blanket of freedom. Citizens would have a different category from permanent immigrants, or permanent residents. Human beings should have been categorized as males, females, gays, and lesbians, seniors and non-seniors, husbands, and wives, matured and minor, and etc.

Gays are males, and lesbians are females, and unless there are new genders created for the American people, there will only be males and females. Gays and lesbians are abnormal, and may even be termed as mentally ill. They should have another category with which another method of satisfying their sexual preferences are available.

If gays and lesbians decide to be together as couples, then allowing them to do so satisfies the human right, or civil right, proviso by the Constitution. Calling for a solemnization of their union as marriage is going too far. Marriage has requirements to conclude the contract, one of them being of different sexes.

The gays and lesbians claim that they are discriminated upon. I find no truth in this claim. The proper term for it may be “ignored”. Most straight, civil people do resent the way they act, and so they are ignored.

The gays and lesbians claim that same-sex marriage is a right. There is nothing that can make this a right. The most it can be described of is a choice, They HAVE NO RIGHT TO CLAIM THAT THIS IS A RIGHT. What they are claiming is an added right, a specific right, or a privelege, in which case they are to be categorized as a special or minority group in the country.

They say that their civil rights stem from the fact that they are also humans. If this be the case, then all the rights that they need are already enshrined in the Constitution, which is promulgated for all humans.

There are no such words in the Constitution as “gays” or “lesbians” or “same-sex” marriage. Therefore, there would not be any specific section in the Constitution which covers gays and lesbians. What they are asking for is just not covered by the Constitution. What they are calling as a civil right is actually not a right at all.

If they get what they want, the country would be in a more irreversible chaos than it is now. If they have their way, the terms rules,,requirements, obligations, and licenses would be supplanted by the term “options”, which is presently being misconstrued as “gay rights”.

What the gays and lesbians want require another section in the Constitution, and since this is so, the Supreme Court is not the venue to decide on this.

Let Congress, not the Supreme Court,  be the assembly to enact more laws to cover gays and lesbians.

Canadian Same-Sex

A very prompt and uneventful solution was given the subject matter by the Canadaians.

How did they do it?

You know, when you get into a formal debate, either by intention or by accident, the minute you mention a public law like the Constitution, or a provincial law, or municipal ordinance, your opponent realizes that the source of all your arguments is this law. The effort to confront you therefore will be built around bringing down the Constitution or whatever law it is that you referred to. The debate that goes along this line of argumentation will therefore stretch out into a very extended length of time.

The Same-sex debate in America is actually going along this line of argumentation, bringing in the American Constitution to back both sides.

The Canadians did away with the Constitution basis the first time around and afterwards had a mutual agreement to agree with each other. Then zip, problem solved, nobody wanted to hurt the other, whatever is needed to keep the agreement is done by both sides. But more amazing is that the arguments that they brought up against each other never turned up again afterwards.

Perhaps there is such a rule that whenever an argument tends to be lengthy, the effort must be made to agree on something whether one likes it or not.

PEACE! This is Canada, where people who tend to be belligerent and adversarial are assimilated into the sensitized Canadian mainstream.

Same-Sex Marriage Debate

On the Piers Morgan show, Suze Orman argues that the federal laws should be changed so that the benefits meant for heterosexual marriages be the same for homosexual unions. They should have thought of this before they got into the idea of same-sex marriage. There will be more problems later on as regards social identities and dependants, spousal benefits, inheritance, alimonies, etc. They chose these for themselves, the gays and the lesbians, so there.

What is disheartening is that she brands those against her opinion as uneducated.

Look who’s talking.

I repeat, if the homoes want to join my club, they should not change my club’s requirements.

The homoes should form their own club with a different name and different members as mine. Don’t blame me if you have problems setting it up. Let them do what they want with their club, just leave my club alone.

You did this to yourselves, you suffer the consequences.

I think Suze Orman understands only one thing, that she is free to do whatever she wants, according to the Constitution. She has no idea of what confusion this will create a couple of years from now when the abuses to the social benefits system come in a deluge.

Truly a land of the very free.
