Same-sex Marriage
There is no such thing as same-sex marriage, or even same-sex union for that matter.
Nuts and bolts fasten beautifully together. This is what we may call a union.
Bolts do not go together with other bolts, and one can go nuts trying to fasten nuts to other nuts.
A male coupling with another male may be likened to the pairing of two bolts and four nuts. No union there.
Heterosexuals, or people of different sexes, have been patient with the demonstrations of homosexuals regarding what they term as sexual preferences. These have been ignored and dismissed as oddities, so much so that the homos are getting carried away. They misinterpret the lack of concern by the heteros as an approval of their scandalous exhibitions.
The homos are free to do what they want. This is free country, as long as they do not infringe on the freedom of the others. They chose to call their same sex coupling as marriage.
Now they have gone too far. The term marriage is, for the heterosexuals, a sacred undertaking with strict unalterable requirements and solemn rites. It appears that by calling their same sex couplings as marriage, the homos have chosen to disregard the requirements of marriage and at the same time attempt to stay within the confines of marriage by retaining the solemn rites of marriage. It is as if the homos have chosen to abandon the heterosexual group while striving with tooth and nail to belong to the same group. What-the-hey, they threw away the cake and now they want the icing!
It would have been easier for everybody concerned had the homosexuals established their own religion, you know, like Henry VIII or Brigham Young? By then they could call their partnering anything they want.
Of course, religion or no religion, the gays and the lesbians still have to prove that their genders are the third and fourth genders in existence.
