Trumpling On

The Trump Apocalypse Horses

proceed to run roughshod over all

that bars their way.

Note that Trump’s populace asked for

tax deductions, employment

and labor improvements.

They did not ask for tariffs,

denuclearization, Iran deal cancellation,

and NAFTA removal.

These was all Trump’s ideas.

The American Congress may be able to rein in these horses.

But it needs more Democrats and less Republicans.

Or more Wipers!

 (very nice dress!)

I may have the reason why she tops the chart.

And that is: she has a high-school face.

(looks like I made her day again)

Deadly Force

It’s the lust to pull the trigger, that’s why.

The teenager was not beating any policeman that time.

Nine shots fired.

Ah, but this sort of thing do not happen in Edmonton.

This is one city where you can travel 45  km by bus

in less than 2 hours.

This is one city which shops remain open after 5 p.m.

Edmonton is only a small city

that is rich.

No provincial tax, no carbon tax.

Gun-free.

Drug-free.

Tax-free.

OOOPS!

Alberta Floods

Unbvelievable, but the Southern Alberta is flooded. A rare event of sudden concentrated surge of water caused this flood. One can almost believe from the images that is seen on Tv that Calgarys is not anymore land-locked.

Brent Rathgeber

Finally, someone says no.

Brent Rathgeber, Tory backbencher, says enough is enough and promptly quit the Conservative Party caucus to stress his point

In the light of the Senate scandal wherein the Senators were having a field day with their perks and benefits and expenses, Grent Rathgeber introduced a Transparency bill wherein everybody who receives from the Parliament a minimum of $188,000 should submit financial statements or the like. This amount, however, was bumped up by the Prime Ministers Office to $444,000, meaning that those earning below $444,000 need not be transparent.

Brent Rathberger quit the party caucus  because the Conservatives had fallen away from the ideals which had made the party win the elections. Brent has a strong belief in these ideals and is frustrated because the prime Minister, Stephen Harper, as leader of the party actually is  not in control of the prime Minister’s Office. This office, which functions as his executive staff, appears to be a runaway branch of the party.

Brent will now work as an independent Minister of Parliament representing the constituency of Edmonton-St. Albert. He will, however, support  Stephen harper and the Conservative Party, but he will now have  a unfettered voice in the parliament. It would be the machinations of a party that would make a candidate win a seat in the parliament. But right now, he has caught the interest of his constituency which is showing support for what he has done.

There were  motions to make him resign for reasons that he was voted in as a member of the Conservative party and that a by-election should be made to replace him. It is the rule, however, that the people voted him in and that the Party does not have the authority to make him  resign his position as MP.

In this interview which lasted for 30 minutes, Brent has given hints of how the Conservative Party reins in its members and how the PMO actually pull manipulate strings of the backbenchers.

There is now a hint that the Tories are not only dipping their hands on the coffers of the treasury by way of perks, benefits, and unjustifiable expenses; they are actually carting away treasury money.

Amidst all this, Brent Rathgeber dutifully, diligently fights for his constituency, not for the party.
