Ottawa hands out Ice cream To Alberta

Ottawa announced that it is going to help Alberta

to ease out the oil crisis.

Ottawa must think that Albertans were born yesterday

and that an ice cream cone would appease the Albertans.

The “help’ that it announced were actually

due Alberta several months before the crisis,

and even so, it would do little to solve the oil problem.

The amount which is grossly exaggerated is $1.6B,

only $500 million of which may be used sparingly to appease Albertans.

Ottawa should remember that Alberta must have transferred to Ottawa

about 200 times that much over the oil years

And this amount is just a share of the oil resources.

Also, the rhetoric that accompanied the humiliating announcement

just about ensured this government

will not retain its office

come next election.

Alberta is not asking for a handout

nor for more loans that have to be repaid,

it is just asking to be freed from

the federal blockages to its oil industry.
